Nevada Roller Rink Bolton

Nevada Roller Rink Bolton

Nevada Roller Skating Rink - Opened in May 2008 by four great friends Carol, Angela, John and Dennis! The aim of Nevada Skating is to bring a great indoor sport back into the Borough of Bolton after Nevada (Spa Road, Bolton, Greater Manchester) closed down. Nevada is now a great success on both days, thanks to all our skaters! Nevada is a not-for-profit organisation, so all earnings go back into new skates, more stock for the tuck shop, better disco lights, and more new facilities for everyone! After running at Little Lever Sports Centre for almost 5 years, in April 2013, the time came to expand and move to a dedicated Roller Rink, nearer to Bolton Town Centre. The new venue is located at Burden Sports Complex, behind Asda Burnden Park (off Manchester Road, Croft Lane, Bolton BL3 2RS) We are open from Wednesday to Sunday every week SKATING SESSIONS: Wednesday - 7:00 pm till 10:00 pm Thursday - 7:00 pm till 10:00 pm Fridays - 7:00 pm till 10:00 pm Saturday - 2:00pm till 4:00pm Sunday- 2:00pm till 4:00pm (Lessons from 12noon - 2:00pm, £7.00) Entrance fee is £3.50 (2 hour sessions) or £4.50 (3 hour sessions) with an extra £1.00 if you would like to hire skates, however feel free to bring your own! On Fridays are our party nights with great chart music for the younger generation, although anyone is welcome. At other sessions, we still play chart music, but we throw in a few oldies - Sunday is more for families and younger children but anyone is welcome! Also, anyone is welcome to request music, just ask one of our members of staff. NO HEELEYS ON THE RINK - IF ANY ARE SEEN, A MEMBER OF STAFF WILL ASK YOU TO LEAVE THE RINK. SKATES ONLY, Please hire skates if you need them! We also have a qualified skate instructor who gives lessons on Sunday afternoons from 12noon - 2:00pm. Roller Skating is a sport for any age and is great fun, very energetic to get your muscles going! Roller skating is a fun activity which can be effective in improving fitness and muscular endurance. It requires relatively good balance and coordination. It can be done with either traditional roller skates which have two sets of side-by-side wheels on each skate, or the newer in-line skates which have wheels lined up one behind the other. It is necessary to learn the basics of skating including turning and stopping and to wear protective gear to avoid possible injury. If you would like to wear some protective gear, you can ask for them at the skate hire counter. PARTIES! For something different, why not try one of our skate parties. Prices start from £6.95 which includes food for party goers! Just give us everyone's shoe sizes and we will fetch the skates before the session starts. Contact Dennis at dennis.hodson@yahoo.co.uk Thank you! Thank you for visiting our Facebook page and we will be looking forward to seeing you at Nevada Roller Skating Rink! :)
