We are a group of not so like-minded middle aged individuals trying hard to keep their ageing bodies fit and pot bellies at bay by playing badminton! We may differ in our ideologies and convictions but have come together to combat a social (read personal! ;-)) evil….ie lethargy, creaking bones and beer bellies! We believe that an idle mind is a devil’s workshop.
We do not claim to be the quickest and the fastest (for apparent reasons…just look at the snaps uploaded ;-)) but we do not go down without a fight. In case of failure, we find solace in Rancho’s policy of life “ Aal eej well ..aal eej well” !!!
And finally a word on the wonderful name of the club….!! A few twisted and dirty minds might raise eyebrows ;-)) but the name’s simple …Clydebank’s where we normally play and ‘Cock’ ;-) is derived from shuttlecock and Swatters as in swatting a fly.(not S.W.A.T!!) ;-))..
