It replaced the Old Horseshoe Hotel. It was a pub that many people knew as regularly featuring live bands upstairs. Downstairs ska punk were the themes. Dress code anything goes,music tastes anything goes too. Planning permission was given for redevelopment in 2004. Demolition soon followed. Welcome all to the Horseshoe once again. No matter if you were a student,band member,member of bar staff or just wanted to drink where all were welcome.Let the memories unfold listening to *Pauls Sounds* (sadly,no longer with us) on a Friday Night. The iconic Half Moon in Putney is a long established historical music, pub and food house situated near Putney Bridge, The Half Moon has been renovated in keeping with the traditional style with a wide drink and food offering. A long standing local landmark, The Half Moon is a live music venue offering a thriving programme of bands, DJs, acoustic music, comedy and other live entertainment. Each Wednesday night we showcase some of the best emmerging talent on the local, national and international live music scene. We frequently have signed and unsigned artists performing at our nights, and we are rapidly becoming known as one of the best live music nights south of London. We keep the night free entry for fans, with half price food and offer on selected drinks before 10pm with TGTG card. The music starts shortly after 8:30pm, the venue is located just off Guildford High Street, and we are on the main Portsmouth train line, which is just 35 minutes from Waterloo. Audio Works is a professional, secure and relaxed creative space for musicians to enjoy and aid their creative process. We have three acoustically treated rehearsal rooms, art gallery space, free drinks, Wi-Fi and parking. We also have a spacious artist lounge with projector and surround sound. There is kit for sale and to hire, kit storage even spares for sale. We offer extra services such as drum repair, graphic design for events posters/flyers and album artwork (all Audio Works posters and flyers are designed in house). We also have two photographers that are able to offer photo shoots both on and off site (all Audio Works photography is created in house). We are a collective of people that all enjoy and feel passionately about the venue. We also hold Vintage Fairs and we are available for private events from everything from wedding receptions to 40th birthday parties with catering.
