The Horseshoe - Public House
★★ ♫ THE HORSESHOE ♫★★
Since its closure, all past"locals" are welcome to drink in this Group.
Located at Kings Road Junction, the Horseshoe was constructed in 1957. It replaced the Old Horseshoe Hotel.
It was a pub that many people knew as regularly featuring live bands upstairs. Downstairs ska punk were the themes. Dress code anything goes, music tastes anything goes too.
Planning permission was given for redevelopment in 2004. Demolition soon followed.
Welcome all to the Horseshoe once again. No matter if you were a student, band member, member of bar staff or just wanted to drink where all were welcome.Let the memories unfold listening to *Pauls Sounds* (sadly,no longer with us) on a Friday Night. Horseshoe we miss you. Its Friday and the Karaoke Ambulance is parked right outside so,put another wax church candle on the Giant Wax Mountain, settle down and enjoy a Double Vodva RedX and 200 Marlboro Lights once again... Chin Chin old boy..................
