Newry Film Club

Newry Film Club

Sean Hollywood Arts Centre, 1a Bank Parade, Newry ,
Newry Film Club has been formed in 2007 by a group of volunteer film enthusiasts to bring a wider selection of films from around the world not usually shown by commercial cinemas to the residents of Newry and the surrounding area. The film club was never intended as a money making venture. All of the organisers still work on a voluntary basis (and put some serious hours in, believe me). The main source of finance is the membership subscription. This allows the committee to plan ahead for the season. Any money made on the screenings is ploughed straight back into hiring great films and obtain the expensive Non-Theatrical licence for each film. We are a registered film society with the British Federation of Film Societies (BFFS) and a member of Access Cinema Ireland. see www.newryfilmclub.com
