Known locally as "The Reds", the club was founded in 1882 and has been on its present Manor Wharf site on the Quay since 1939. Since then it has had major improvements such as an extension and internal refurbishment. The Reds are a Project Oarsome club, one of the 50 clubs entrusted with the delivery of this initiative to bring rowing into 100 state schools. Our partners in this are Bideford College.
