Meetings were held in an upper room of a Mr W P Adsheads building in Campbell St. It was from friends at these meetings that a desire was born to have and build a church where they could worship and hold services together. Thoughts and wishes reached fruition in Queen Victorias Jubilee Year 1887. Mr Adsheads laid the foundation stone and the building was named Jubille Hall. It is due to the dedication and wisdom of the pioneers of long ago that we have this grand Church in Belper today.

Station Garage is a small, family run business which was based in Duffield for 25 years until the lease ran out in June 2006. The garage then re-located to new state of the art premises at Goods Road, Belper. The new garage was run by Dave Smith, his wife Anne and the staff until Dave's sudden untimely death in November 2006. Anne is now running the garage with the lads that have helped since school. They have all done the apprenticeships and are qualified to work on any make or age of car. They are also MOT technicians and regularly attend courses to update their knowledge, with the latest being diagnostics and air conditioning. Anne also deals with lots of lady customers who appreciate the friendly help from the lads and also the comfortable, clean waiting area, Her aim is to offer a family run business on a small scale but with a large service that customers can rely on.

Trotters trailer is a local Belper business which is located on Goods Road. We have traded as a catering business from Goods Road since May 2009, upgrading our trailer for the current one which has improvements for us and our customers alike. We are not causing any obstruction, mess, hazard or nuisance and are creating a good quality service. The objection put forward by AVBC is that the trailer is "inappropriate" and that planning permission is needed. This comes as a surprise as we have, without problem until now, traded on Goods Road for three and a half years. Please help us, and show your support for a local business. Thank you.
