Batley Business & Enterprise College is a boy’s only college situated in Batley West Yorkshire. We cater for boys between the ages of 11-16.

Celebrations will be held in the Town Centre square, Batley Town Hall, Batley Library and in the memorial garden! We have booked street performers and magicians, plus face painters, henna artists, balloon artists, and organised story time in the library along with a magic show twist. Vintage cafe in the town hall for excellent cakes and tea. Market stalls are filling up with local craft, jewellery, handbags, toys, cupcakes, healthy eating, foods stalls to reflect all the communities in Batley, climbing wall, bouncy castle, majorettes, dance workshops and taster sessions, local artists and workshops, small animals, birds of prey, football challenge. Its going to be great!!!

Batley Library and Information Centre is situated within the Market Place Conservation area. Classified as grade 2 listed, this impressive public building not only offers book lending to local people, but also a number of different services including public accessing computers, a reference library, DVD a Music CD rental, an Art Gallery, room hire and much more. Upstairs in the library (we have a lift) there is a fantastic in house Art Gallery exhibiting wonderful pieces of work all year around. At Batley Library we understand the potential impact we can have on local people lives and this is why we offer a range of groups sessions encouraging people to becomes involved in new hobbies like Family History and Local history. We also do a weekly story-time for children to stimulate the minds of our young people which helps get them excited about books. If you're an adult and still excited about book and/or writing, we have a readers and writers group meeting every Monday 10.00-11.30 - new members are always welcome. ON THE DOORSTEP is a Department of Health/Age UK project which delivers activities and support for older people by encouraging more people into volunteering. Our volunteers share their hobbies, skills and time with clients through activities such as arts and crafts or lunch clubs, with emphasis on creating a sociable, friendly environment. We have a growing team of 'befrienders' who visit older people who may be experiencing isolation. Our building is home to a number of like-minded organistions including Worklink; Batley Self-Help Depression Group; Castle & Minster Credit Union; Tracy Bray Holistic Therapies and WRVS.
