Welcome to PEN-Y-DRE Farm Holidays A working farm incorporating a converted 17th Century Coach House, Llanvihangel Crucourney, Abergavenny, Monmouthshire, South Wales We are situated in the historic village of Llanfihangel Crucorney, 5 miles from the market town of Abergavenny. If you want to leave your car at home, you can reach us by train to Abergavenny and bus to Llanfihangel Crucorney. An ideal holiday location especially for families or groups keen to visit The Black Mountains, Brecon Beacons, or walk the Offa`s Dyke Path. The village has The Skirrid Mountain Inn, which is the oldest pub in Wales and was used as Judge Jeffrie`s Court. The scenery is superb with The Skirrid Mountain behind and The Black Mountains just beyond the village. Ideally situated to explore the Wye Valley, Welsh Border Country, Forest of Dean, The Brecon Beacons National Park & South Wales. Self Catering Farm Holiday Cottages Much attention has been paid to the finer details and many of the original features have been retained, including the great oak beams and stone walls giving the cottages a true `country feel`. The living area is on the higher level and there are stairs down to the bedrooms and bathroom which is then level with the farm courtyard! Farm Bed & Breakfast Relax in our own farmhouse and join us for breakfast. Your choice includes cosy rooms on the first floor or our spacious loft on the second floor. Breakfast is served in our spacious kitchen usually between 8 & 10.am although this is not rigidly adhered to and consists of: Cereals, fresh fruit salads & juices, yoghurt, sausage, bacon, our own farm eggs, mushrooms, tomatoes etc. We source as much of our food locally as we can. Vegetarian breakfast is available with our own vegetarian sausage. Other diets catered for if possible, tell us what your requirments are, we will always try to help. The area has a population of over 20,000. The Bryn y Cwm Community Forum was established as an independent body in 2003 by Monmouthshire County Council. It was the council’s wish that the people of Abergavenny and surrounding area should have a platform from which their views could be heard.
