Non profit, community based club The club is operated by volunteers and provides the opportunity for members to attend theatres and concert halls in the nearby cities of Plymouth and Exeter and the area of Torbay. We travel by coach from the bus station on the quay in Kingsbridge and collect additional members from villages en route. This saves the stress of driving to and parking in busy centres and provides a sociable environment for the trip. All bookings are made through the club's ticket secretary. At present our main destinations are: Plymouth: the Theatre Royal, the Drum Theatre, the Pavilions, the Guildhall and the Sherwell Centre at the University Exeter: Cathedral, Great Hall and Northcott Theatre at the University and theCorn Exchange and Westpoint Arena. Torquay: the Princess Theatre Paignton: the Palace Theatre We currently have around 400 members and offer a warm welcome to newcomers.

Kingsdown Village Hall was opened as a village hall in 1952, converted from the village school which taught local children from 1843. The hall, situated at the centre of the village in a conservation area, forms an essential base for local groups, public events and private functions for the community of Kingsdown, Kent. The main hall has recently been refurbished with a new kitchen and disabled facilities, and fundraising is ongoing for further improvements. The hall, as well as a forecourt for outdoor use, is also available for private hire at competitive rates. At present, the trustees of the hall are looking for "Friends of the Hall" to volunteer any spare time to hep out with the ongoing refurbishment plans, fundraising events or help with various simple jobs which need doing.
