The Kilwinning Community Archaeology Project will enable volunteers to participate and learn through exploring the origins and evolution of Kilwinning via the discipline of archaeology. The discoveries made by the project will support the future conservation of the historic aspects of Kilwinning. The Project was conceived by and is being run by Kilwinning Heritage (formerly Kilwinning & District Preservation Society). The project has been generously supported and funded by Irvine Bay and the Heritage Lottery Fund. The Society are being supported by Rathmell Archaeology Ltd.

Kilwinning Community Sports Club was established in 2000 to bring together a wide range of existing sports interests and clubs from across the town, many with a strong interest in football. From a somewhat sceptical start, the new club has managed to lease a pre-existing area of pitches and changing rooms, and develop these over four years with into a series of quality outdoor pitches, four multi-sport all-weather courts, a fitness suite, and facilities for other sports. The club is now used by 33 youth and amateur football teams, with 60 qualified coaches, and around 2,000 local people.

Once you have attained the age of 17 (16 in certain circumstances) or if you are of more mature years and want to be more independant , and you meet the eligibility criteria (for details go to dsa.gov.uk/provisional licence) you can apply for a provisional licence. Once you have obtained your licence and your eyesight is to the required standard you are free to start your driving lessons, even if you have a full licence but just want to refresh your skills we can design a course of instruction to suit your individual needs-just give us a call or email.
