Bristol Shakespeare Festival

Bristol Shakespeare Festival

Founded in 2004, Bristol Shakespeare Festival this year enters its 10th season, and we're planning the biggest and most raucous festival yet! Alongside productions from our own company, each year we invite some of the country's best theatre companies to come and re-imagine Shakespeare's works. With performances taking place in some of Bristol's most unusual spaces, we aim to deliver you a festival like no other: be prepared to bathe in the sunshine, heckle at the pub, and watch our actors take to the skies! From the stunning sixteenth century sunken gardens of Ashton Court, to the reclamation of the urbanised Amphitheatre at Boiling Wells, exploring spaces outside of the traditional theatre is one of our priorities. This year, we've expanded our programme to not only include a range of performances to suit everyone's taste, but we will also be hosting a variety of lectures, debates, and events. We hope you'll join us this July, and we can't wait to welcome you to the Bristol Shakespeare Festival!

Each day a new name, a new menu and a new group of diners. Above all else, we want Eat Drink, Bristol Fashion to be a celebration of Bristol’s thriving food and drink scene. We have invited a cross section of people to the party and some of the best chefs from all over the city will be given the opportunity to shine on the centre stage.
