Welsh Highland Heritage Railway, Porthmadog

The Station, Tremadog Rd, Porthmadog ,
The Welsh Highland Heritage Railway is a bit different from other railways, the journey takes about an hour, but you won't be on the train for most of the time! Your train will take you for a short ride, then we stop at the Engine Sheds where you get to climb into the cabs of the locomotives and see how things work. Find out about the narrow gauge railways of Porthmadog and how they became famous around the world. Thought our railway was small? Try the miniature version at the Engine Sheds. A whole family can ride up and down all day for just £18.50! Most of the site is level, and there's a wheelchair accessible carriage on every train. And before you go home, why not treat yourself to something in our shop or have something to eat in the Russell Tea Room?

At cutecanines I can pamper most pets in about 2 hours. All visits include the following services: Evaluation: I check your pet's overall condition. Does the skin and coat appear healthy? Is it oily? Dry? Matted? How do the nails look? Are they overgrown? How do the ears look? Clean? Dirty? Possible ear mites/infection (red/swollen)? The evaluation is a very important step in your pet's grooming. It tells me what type of products I will need to use and what I need to concentrate on. It's also tells me what I need to relay to you about your pets overall exterior health. I AM NOT A VET........ I can only give you my personal opinion, based on my experience, on how I would handle this Situation with my own pet. You should ALWAYS take up any health concern with your VET!!!! Bath Time!! I will use the relevant shampoos and conditioners. i will shampoo 2, 3 and sometimes even 4 times until your pet is clean! Blow Dry: I have high and low velocity dryers. I always show the dogs the dryer and turn it on away from them to get them used to the low noise so as not to startle them. I then start at the rear foot on low velocity to see how they handle it - and most of them love it! When I see they are comfortable I will or will not turn up the speed. This makes all the difference to the grooming time and why I can never give a firm finishing time. Nail Trimming: These will be checked every visit and trimmed if needed. Ear Cleaning: ALL dogs need the build up of dirt and wax removed. However, some breeds require removal of hair from the ear canal to allow air to circulate. I will not attempt to remove extremely thick and dense hair from the canal, this type of hair can be very painful to remove and you may want to consult a VET about this type of hair removal.
