Andy’s Bread was founded in June 2010 from a small kitchen in Llanidloes. After reading about the demise of real bread in Andrew Whitley’s seminal book, Bread Matters and a visit to Birmingham to bake with Tom Baker of LOAF, I took the leap into the world of micro-bakeries. Grappling with the intricacies of an old gas powered oven in a rented flat, I sold my first couple of loaves and haven’t looked back since.

Independently owned since 1992, in the lively Mid Wales town of Llanidloes. We specialise in Local History, Welsh writing and poetry, Textiles and Crafts.
