Inverkeithing Hillfield Swifts F.C Registered Scottish Charity SC043580 SFA Quality Marked Club We are currently developing young footballers from aged 3-18 years. The Swifts are a community football club & registered Scottish Charity SC043580. The club has had significant growth since its early days early s in 2000. Since then, the club has grown from strength to strength and over the last 12 years we have trained over 1500 local boys and girls and currently have teams from age 3 right through to Amateur level. The club has been very successful in developing players, with several of our players having moved on to the Dunfermline, Hearts, Raith Rovers, Celtic, & Livingston pro youth teams. We have recently gained standard quality mark status SFA. We are also working with Coerver Coaching to learn the best coaching techniques in football. Any aspiring footballers are welcome to get in contact about the availabilty of joining our football training acadamy. The school is split into four houses: Castle (red), Palace (green), Tower (yellow) and Abbey (blue).The school teaches pupils from Inverkeithing, Dalgety Bay, Rosyth, Aberdour and High Valleyfield, but also from Dunfermline under exceptional circumstances. The school employs approximately 100 staff. the school also has many sports teams in sports such as football, rugby and basketball. In the 2012/2013 season, the school managed to come 4th in the Fife school basketball league, and reached the 3rd round with every year group in the Scottish cup.In 2007 it became the first Secondary School in Fife to be awarded an Eco-Schools Green Flag - this reflects the staff and students commitment to the environment. In November 2011 the school successfully passed the assessment for a third Green Flag. The school also achieved the Radio Forth Teacher of the Year 2011, Mrs Gordon, as a staff member.

The Games and Lammas Fair (or Lambmas Fair) appear in Burgh records of 1652, when on the first day it is stated that all kinds of merchant goods and livestock, horses cattle, sheep etc were on sale in the main street. Another record states a great day for " Fun, Frolic Fit Races, Ale and Drunken Folks, genrtle and simple. The games appeared to be so popular that folk came from near and far to enjoy themselves."
