The School’s centenary was in 2011, The Old Gaytonians Association (OGA) celebrates its 100th year in 2012. To mark these significant anniversaries the School and the Association worked closely together to plan a series of commemorative events. After Centenary Day in January 2011, Portfolio Holder for Schools and Colleges at Harrow Council, Cllr Brian Gate, said: “This is a very special year for Harrow High School and it was great to see so many past and present pupils at the Centenary Day. I’d like to congratulate Harrow High on 100 years in our community and I look forward to joining them in their celebrations throughout the year”. MP for Harrow West, Gareth Thomas said, “I would like to congratulate Harrow High School for all that it has brought to Harrow over the past 100 years. The name may have changed since it first opened as Harrow County School in 1911 but the deep commitment to the education of its pupils shown by staff and Governors has remained constant. Harrow High School has improved the lives of countless children and I look forward to it continuing to do so”.
