Darwen Music Projects was formed in 1999 to organise a music festival to celebrate the millennium. That festival became the annual Darwen Live event - which we still help to organise! DMP host regular original music nights at The Number 39 Hopstar Brewery Tap on Bridge Street in Darwen. These feature all manner of genres, from jazz trios to delta blues to traditional folk. From Thursday 8th - Sunday 11th August 2013, we're also presenting Darwen Jazz and Blues weekend - a wide variety of jazz and blues musicians from all over the UK at ticketed and free-to-attend events.
