Amersham Reflexology is a mobile reflexology service covering South Buckinghamshire, run by myself, Kerry Byrne. I am a fully qualified reflexologist as well as being a member of the Association of Reflexologists and the Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council. I offer reflexology sessions in the comfort of your own home. When you book a treatment I will come to you, bringing all the required equipment to turn your living room into a treatment room in a matter of minutes, taking the stress of travel out of your treatment. What is reflexology? Reflexology is the technique of applying gentle pressure to reflexes on the feet and hands, in order to encourage a deeply relaxed state and help return the body to a state of balance naturally. By applying pressure to the reflexes on the feet this stimulates blood flow and nervous reaction in the feet and this is thought to have a corresponding effect throughout the body. Reflexology does not cure and is not used to diagnose illness. It is a complementary therapy using an holistic approach to treat the whole person rather than just the symptoms in isolation. What are the benefits of reflexology? With today’s increasingly stressful lifestyles reflexology can be one way in which individuals are able to mitigate the stresses of everyday life. One of the key benefits of reflexology is relaxation and stress relief. In addition reflexology is thought to help improve circulation and aid the body in the removal of toxins. As a treatment often helps clients relax and de-stress, many often find that it impacts other areas of their life, for example, getting a better nights sleep, improved mood or an increase in energy. Some clients find that a treatment can help with conditions that stress exacerbates but this happens on a very individual basis. Whilst there have been some positive reflexology research cases to date, there is not a large enough body of evidence in order for a reflexologist to make clinical claims of effectiveness. Anecdotally, many have found that reflexology has helped with: Digestive problems, Fertility issues, Some pregnancy symptoms, Headaches and migraines, Hormonal imbalances, Back pain, Sleep problems.

Old traditional pub built in the late 17th Century, we have recently undergone a renovation - we've modernised simpathetically to the traditional form of the building. Our garden has been re-landscaped and is now a stunning walled garden that has plenty of open space for our customers to relax on a nice summer day. Our warm log fire is the ideal place to cozy up to on a cold and rainy day. Our menu varies according to the season, we aim to use local produce, and we have vegetarian/wheat free options available. Summer BBQs & Hogroasts are available weather permitting.
