Ballycastle is an ever expanding town on the North Coast of Antrim. Its population was 5,089 people in the 2001 Census. The first inhabitants were fishermen from the Mull of Kintyre in Scotland, with Torr Head or Fair Head as their goal but falling fowl of unscallable cliffs, they followed the current east to west, settling in Ballycastle Bay.

The Bats wear black robes with a scarlet bat across the chest. Their famous mascot Barny the Fruitbat is also well known as the bat featured in Butterbeer advertisements (*Barny says: I'm just batty about Butterbeer* )

Welcome to the official website for the Ballycastle Tennis Club, formerly known as Moyle Tennis Club. We are a thriving tennis club located on the north-east coast of Co. Antrim in Northern Ireland. Our organization has been in existence for over 100 years and provides excellent tennis facilities, offering hard courts, all year round, and grass courts, during the summer season. Moyle District Council provides 6 No. Floodlit Polymeric and 5 No. Natural Grass courts (the last lawn tennis in N. Ireland). The Council has established a user agreement with Ballycastle Tennis Club for the use of 4 of the polymeric courts at a reduced rate. The grass courts are open seasonally for public and club use. Ballycastle Tennis Club organises club member sessions weekly on both Monday and Friday evenings from 7pm-9pm. We have a Ladies Doubles Night on Wednesday Evenings from 8pm - 9.30pm. Junior Member Coaching sessions run on Monday afternoons and evenings.
