The Grimsby & District Archive club was set up with the intention of researching, collating and publicly displaying, social history concerning Grimsby, Cleethorpes and the local surrounding areas. The club will not at any time charge members of the public for access to any photographic events, moving picture shows, or for its local history magazine, and any donations received, or payment, such as advertising within its magazine, or for any of the other above mentioned, will be reinvested into the growth of the club for the enhanced benefit of the general public. The club retains copyright of all images, video footage held within its archive-and will not at any time sell any of its content to either private collectors, or the media. Photographs, video or written word, donated to the club can be done so on either a full copyright donation, or as a limited license donation. It is also the intention of the club to allow and facilitate the availability of its archive to the broadest audience possible, though we do ask that any request to copy magazine content is first submitted to us in writing. And finally we hope that all our projects are enjoyed by all members of the general public, as well as loyal supporters.

Grimsby Boxing Academy was established in 2008 at Scartho Village Community Centre, known formally as Scartho Amateur Boxing Club. After spending a year in Scartho the club soon outgrew this venue and moved to the bigger and better facility that we are in today. Grimsby Boxing Academy is one of the biggest amateur boxing clubs in the region and can boast some of the best facilities in the country. Our coaching team is also the most highly qualified in our region and these coaches are passionate about what they do and strive for success in every area. Despite first and foremost being a boxing club we feel it is important to nurture and develop youngsters and take kids form the age of 6. We also, with the help of our dedicated committee, participate in charity events and help out in our local community whenever we can. Young People Guernsey (YPG) is a Guernsey charity that identifies and responds to the needs of young people in the Bailiwick. YPG’s first project was a partnership with Barnardo’s, the UK’s largest children’s charity, commissioning them to provide an information, advice and guidance centre in St. Peter Port for young people aged 11-16 years called 'The Hub'. YPG’s objective is that all young people should be able to find confidential support and advice from the very best professionals . The partnership with Barnardo’s and the creation of this centre has been an important and significant development for young people in Guernsey. All funds raised on the island will be used on the island.
