On Friday 5th July - 'The Greatest' are simply the very best tribute to TAKE THAT, incorporating the UK's No.1 Robbie Williams tribute artiste. All of TAKE THAT'S major hits are reproduced in the style of the bands recent concerts in choreographed detail with talented harmonies and five lead vocals. These hits include 'The Flood', 'Shine', 'Pray', 'Million Love Songs', 'Never Forget' and many more. On Saturday 6th July - Abbamania present the original ABBA tribute live show. They are widely regarded as one of Europes premier ABBA tribute bands. Their sensational live concerts have taken them all over the world. ABBA remain one of the most popular bands in the world today, with timeless hits including 'Waterloo', 'Thank You For The Music', 'Dancing Queen', 'Mamma Mia' and many more. Shrewsbury Showground is located on Berwick Road, close to Shrewsbury town centre. Parking is free. Customers are welcome to bring along their own picnics, gazebos and outdoor furniture, plus a bar will be available on-site. Gates open at 7pm each evening and the show starts a 8pm. "My music will go on forever" Bob Marley On what would have been his 44th birthday, family and friends of town busker Ben Bebbington who was murdered last September are paying tribute to his love of music. With the focus on "Happy days" which was Bens approach to life, the day will be an event to engage and inspire people with this philosophy, whilst raising awareness and funds for The Shrewsbury Ark, a local charity that supported Ben and where he spent many good times with his guitar. Jazz on the Pier features internationally acclaimed jazz soloists and bands in monthly Sunday lunchtime concerts and regular evening concerts throughout the year, held at the cultural centre situated on the pier at Southend on Sea. The Southend Jazz Festival is held over a weekend in October at the Park Inn Palace Hotel, Southend on Sea, and features the cream of Britain's jazz players in a jazz party setting.
