Splat Messy Play was established in 2009, recognising the need for a fun, messy and creative experience that could be enjoyed by both parents and children. Messy play is great fun but any parent knows the reality of doing messy play and arts and craft activities at home can be a more stressful experience than a positive one. Whilst children love experimenting with glue, paint, sand, glitter etc.… the mess and the stress can just be too much for many parents to bear! Drawing on experience for nurturing (having been a registered child-minder for a number of years) and having a passion for all things creative, Splat Messy Play was born. Through Splat Messy Play, I have created a fun and educationally based system to encourage each child’s journey of exploration and discovery. Splat messy play classes are in line with E.Y.F.S (the Early Years Foundation stage). The classes provide a safe, social and a stress free experience for parents and children to enjoy fun and educational messy arts and craft activities together. The weekly sessions are themed with different activities to choose from that the children will enjoy exploring and experimenting with.

It operates regular inter-urban services radiating from Taunton on a commercial basis, as well as a number of rural services and local town routes under contract to Somerset County Council and North Somerset Council.
