Richmond Film Services was founded more than 25 years ago. It began life as a family affair, run from home by Nigel and Valerie Woodford and with just one Nagra recorder available for hire! The business grew rapidly as Nigel and Valerie worked hard to supply broadcast quality sound equipment to professional sound recordists. A few years later, their stock and client base had greatly increased and in June 1986 they moved into The Old School in Park Lane, Richmond, where they can still be found today. The business continues to expand, filling all the classrooms as we aim to provide the most up-to-date professional sound equipment to the film and television industry.

The oldest part dates back to 1726, and now hosts Pembrokes Bar and Restaurant.
