Whether at sea or on land, the Sea Cadets offers young people across the UK
amazing opportunities for personal development - by learning new skills and
working in teams - we offer an environment where young people find new
confidence and inspiration.
Go on, get out on the water with us. Where you’ll experience the most
exhilarating – and unique challenges. Whether it’s hoisting the sail of
a yacht in stormy weather or navigating big waves in a powered craft,
or racing down a river in a kayak -nothing compares to the feeling of being
out on the water, right there in the elements.
Plus, from dinghy sailing at the lake,
you can try kayaking, power boating, canoeing, rowing and windsurfing,
most of our courses are accredited too by the leading UK bodies
like RYA, British Canoe Union.
Most Sea Cadet courses are recognised by leading UK bodies
– which means when you put time into one of them,
you’re working towards accredited qualifications.
So, in short, you have fun, learn loads and end up with
some valuable experience.
Drill, Piping and Music are traditional activities cadets take
pride in and there are competitions and ceremonial events
from fetes and carnivals to big ticket days
like national Trafalgar Day Parade.
There's also the chance to learn a whole range of new skills from seamanship,
meteorology, radio comms and cookery.
