Farm Stay UK was established in 1983 as The Farm Holiday Bureau, with 23 local groups, through the leadership and support provided by ADAS (then fully financed by MAFF), the Royal Agricultural Society of England (RASE), the National Tourist Boards (inc. the BTA), and the Farmer's Weekly. It still works closely with the founding bodies and currently has over 1200 members co-ordinated in 94 groups across the UK. Its regions are similar to those of the eight RDAs within England (ex. London) plus one each for Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales.

The Club is run by the committee which consists of a wide mix of members, both local and from the surrounding areas. We have the following teams: football, darts, cricket, pool, golf, dominoes and crib. We also have a bingo session every fortnight. Most weekends we have events including quiz nights, themed nights, live music, race nights etc. We also put great effort into our bonfire night, haloween party, christmas etc. The club also offers up to date technology with its sound and lighting system, flat screen tv and big screen showing all the latest events on sky sports and espn including premier league football, international football, rugby, darts, golf, cricket, basketball etc. with the addition of free wifi for all its customers why not bring your laptop, tablet or smartphone to further your pleasure of the stoneleigh village club!!! History of Stoneleigh Village Club The Stoneleigh Club was once the Reading Room. In 1856 the Reading Room was created to promote knowledge and learning in the Stoneleigh community and was supported by the Leigh family. The Reading Room contained 750 volumes and newspapers. The Stoneleigh Club is now run by a committee which consists of a wide mix of members, both local and from the surrounding areas. We have the following teams: football, cricket, pool, golf, dominoes and crib and there is a bingo session every Wednesday fortnight.
