The Top Chippy is owned and managed by Mick and Lorraine Brocklehurst (pictured above). Having run an award winning fish and chip shop in Stoke on Trent for 20 years, Mick and Lorraine moved to Porthleven and opened the Top Chippy in 2010. The Top Chippy offers friendly service, exellent food (including freshly locally caught fish) and value for money. The Top Chippy is conveniently located, just 50 yard from Porthleven harbour on Fore Street, past Boots the Chemists and towards the Post Office.

The Starfish is a 31 feet long charter boat, weighing in at 5.5 tons. It can carry 10 anglers and is licensed to take 15 passengers on coastal cruises. It has the latest safety equipment and electronics fitted. Including a toilet. A range of charters available from Mackerel fishing to Wreck fishing. Fishing includes, Bass Pollock Bream Whiting Conger Wrasse Cod We offer 2 hour and 5 hour fishing trips. (Weather permitting) Please dress appropriately.

All of our bedrooms have double-glazing, electric panel heater and have modern en suite shower facilities. All rooms have the latest remote control digital free view flat-screen colour televisions. While we have no telephones in the rooms so you can fully relax there is free wireless internet access throughout the hotel’s public areas so you can keep in touch with the outside world. Premier rooms have king-sized beds and are more spacious than standard double rooms, with seating areas looking out over Porthleven Harbour. We have no bedrooms on the ground floor, eighteen stairs lead to our first floor bedrooms - Please note, we do not have a lift but Sandy or Russell will be happy to help with any luggage if required. All our rooms and public areas inside the hotel are non-smoking.
