Scone Thistle F.C. are a Scottish junior football club based in Scone, Perth and Kinross. Their home ground is Farquharson Park and club colours are black and red.
Up until the end of the 2005–6 season, they played in the Tayside Premier League of the Scottish Junior Football Association's Eastern Region.
The SJFA restructured prior to the 2006–07 season, and Thistle found themselves in the twelve-team East Region Premier League. They finished bottom and were relegated to the East Region Central Division.
In August 2011, it was announced that the club will spend the 2011–12 season in abeyance. New committee now formed currently fundraising for next season, check here and the group page for any updates on events/news and fixtures.
Notable former players/coaches
Philip Scott - former St. Johnstone and Sheffield Wednesday midfielder.
Jimmy Guthrie - Dundee and Portsmouth Captain of Portsmouth when they won the 1939 FA Cup Final and Chairman of the Players' Union 1946–1957.
Frank Christie - Former St Johnstone FC coach and Liverpool F.C. player coached the club in the late 1980s.
George Best - The Manchester United and Northern Ireland legend played one game for the club in 1982.
