CAN'T DECIDE BETWEEN A CHILDMINDER OR A NURSERY? We offer a fantastic "best of both worlds" solution! We are Angela Dunbar, Lindsay Dunbar Edwards & Laura Winstanley; a mother and her 2 daughters (aged 34 and 29). As childminders, we work together to look after your child in a warm, caring family environment. We only look after a relatively small number of children so can go out of the home to attend play groups and ensure your child has a lot of variety in their day. However, unlike most childminders, as well as minding children in our homes, we also have a large play room built in Angela’s rear garden which is used exclusively for childminding purpose with lots of toys and resources. And, as professionals, we work to the same Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) guidelines as nurseries and schools to ensure the educational needs of your child are being met. We provide parents with frequent updates on their child including daily dairies or learning journeys. Angela also has a very large rear garden for the children to play in with a variety of play equipment such as 2 trampolines, a 2 story wooden Wendy house, a sand and water table and lots of little tykes play equipment and ride on toys. We have lots of animals for the children to help us look after such as chickens, Guinea Pigs and large African land snails. We work primarily from Angela’s home, but some parents also drop their child off at Lindsay or Laura’s houses in the mornings if it is more convenient for them. We find working together means each of us can draw on our different skills to offer a high quality standard of childcare. On a practical level we can also focus on different activities according to the varied individual needs of the children in our care.
