First established by secondary school teachers, Burnley Basketball have been in existence since the 1950s. The club was established primarily as a recreation focused club throughout its history providing opportunities for all in the Burnley and East Lancashire area. Burnley has competed both locally in the Lancashire league since the sixties and the Manchester League since the late seventies. The last ten years has seen Burnley develop as a club and is now a recognised England Basketball three star club. Central to this development has been the provision of basketball opportunities for young people in basketball. The clubs youth teams now include under 12, 14, 16 and 18 teams that compete in both local and national competitions. Many of these players have represented Lancashire and have progressed through to the Manchester League Senior Team. This team has had recent success being a long established member of the Premier Division while winning the MABL Cup in 2008. The club is based at Shuttleworth College, Padiham, Burnley and in this venue provides both recreational and performance basketball opportunities. Well supported by local sponsors, educational establishments parents and basketball players Burnley Basketball is a friendly club which a level of basketball suit everyone.

Here at Gladrags we rely completly on donations, very kindly given to us by the lovely and wonderful people of padiham and the surrounding areas. We have a few paid members of staff but mostly we keep running by the volenteers and their spare time that they give. Due to the generosity of the people donating their unwanted items we have a large range of womens, mens and childrens clothes. We also have a fantastic variety of bric and brac and shoes. Every other Wednesday we hold a drop in session for our members where they can meet new friends, learn new skills and let their creativity run wild!!!! We do rely on donations and are always looking for new ways to raise money, whether it be a fun run, a car boot sale or raffles.If you have any ideas or would like to raise money please get in contact.

Using fresh and quality ingredients, I bring you the following menu. Should you fancy something not on the menu, I will try my utmost to make that available to you – so long as you can wait a while!! My inspiration comes from the likes of Antonio Carluccio (and a love of food & red wine - see my stomach!!). Unfortunately I can’t replicate much of the food I prepare at home in this trailer – people just can’t wait long enough! But I will aim to provide the best food I can prepare, quickly and at as low a cost as possible, for you to enjoy!
