From Wikipedia, the free encyclopaedia Interpal is the working name for the British charity Palestinian Relief and Development Fund founded in 1994 which states that it is a non-political charity to alleviate problems faced by Palestinians, and focused solely on the provision of relief and development aid to the poor and needy Palestinians the world over, but primarily in the Palestinian territories, Lebanon and Jordan. Interpal's work Interpal's program has four main points of focus: Community Development – which tries to lift communities out of poverty with long-term, sustainable solutions based on their needs; Humanitarian work – assisting those immediately affected by conflict, especially in the field of water and sanitation; Health & Medical – Distributing funds to hospitals, medical centers and local clinics to ensure continued service provision; Education programmes – in order to empower the youth of Palestine, and as a means of providing them with a better education and future. Interpal is currently the largest British charity supplying humanitarian aid to Palestinians and is "one of the largest Muslim-led charities in Europe".
Bolton parkrun

Bolton parkrun

Hello! We are Bolton parkrun, a free weekly timed run which takes place in Leverhulme Park every Saturday morning at 9am. What is Bolton parkrun? Bolton parkrun is just one of the many events offered by parkrun, a not for profit organisation that helps to organise free weekly timed 5km runs around the country. parkrun events are run by teams of dedicated volunteers from the local areas, at Bolton the event organisers are Alistair, David and Rowan. How do I take part? Taking part in parkrun couldn't be easier. All you need to do is head over to http://www.parkrun.org.uk/register and register yourself. You will then be sent a barcode which you must print out and bring to the run. Once you've registered, all you need to do is turn up at whichever event you want (include any events overseas), whenever you want, with your barcode in hand! We take care of the rest. No numbers to wear, no safety pins, no fuss, no bother. Once registered, you stay registered; even if you registered years ago, and have not run since, you will be on our system. Do I have to be a good runner to take part? Absolutely not. Anybody and everybody can take part at a parkrun event! We love to see Olympians at our events (and we've had a few!), but we are most proud of those runners whose first steps in running were at one of our events. Whatever your shape, size or ability, our event is here for everyone. When does it start? The run starts at 9am sharp so it is best to arrive at least 10 minutes before hand. For anybody taking part at Bolton for the first time, we do a first timer brief at 8:50am to explain the route of the course and clarify what to do with your barcode at the end of the run. We'll also be able to answer any questions you might have, just look for anybody in a high-viz parkrun vest! Is car parking available? Yes there is a car park next to the running track which is free to park in. This does get full very quickly though, so please try your best to use alternative methods of transport or share lifts as much as possible. For the sat-nav zombies, the postcode is BL2 6EB - just look out for the fields and running track. The entrance to the car park doubles up as a bus turnaround point, so there is a wide area of tarmac with railings either side. Are there toilets and refreshments? Unfortunately the park centre does not open until 9am.
