Sally Clare Designs
Sally Clare Designs came about with the marriage of chance and opportunity.
I studied art many years ago and had a long career in teaching, eventually becoming head of Design and Technology.
My comfortable routine was shaken when both my daughters decided to marry in the same year and I was plunged head first into the wedding experience – I loved it! And when we found the brooch bouquet display at a wedding fayre I was totally charmed; but this little voice in my head was telling me that I could do that, and do it better.
So I found a course that would teach me the mechanics and drawing on my experience I began designing and making my own bouquets, then when the opportunity for early retirement came along, Sally Clare Designs was launched.
The range has developed from brooch bouquets to include button bouquets, jewellery and when my son married in Kenya I saw the need for what I call ‘far away bouquets’ that are fabulous but light enough to pack and designed some crystal and feather bouquets and some flower posies with buttons or beads that fit the bill perfectly.
Because of the small pieces such as crystals that are in the bouquets, care must be taken to keep them away from small children in case of accidents. These pieces, unlike ordinary flower bouquets, can be kept as a lasting memory of that most special day.
