Our collection of self-catering cottages at Dittiscombe all nestle in a tranquil valley, close to historic Slapton village and the sweeping beaches of Start Bay. The cottages offer a cosy retreat with woodburners, thick stone walls and beams, king-size beds, digital TVs and Wifi. There are lovely gardens too, with views over the valley and woodland, and there is a nature trail right on the doorstep. Nearby there are National Trust walks along stunning stretches of coastal paths which lie between the medieval town of Dartmouth and the pretty harbour at Salcombe. Along the way there are quiet beaches and coves, and the occasional pub or cafe serving great local and seasonal food and drink.

The Tradesman's Arms is a fine, turn of the 14th Century, thatched pub and restaurant. During the cooler months the log-burning fire creates a lovely cosy atmosphere whilst in warmer months the stunning colourful hanging baskets further enhance this charming South Devon Free House & Restaurant. The Globe Inn has been an inn for over two hundred years now and the original brick archway and heavy wood and iron door runners for the carriages can still be spotted in the games room downstairs. We are pleased to continue in this tradition since becoming “inn keepers” in January 2000 having emigrated from Australia. After winter renovations in 2006 we are delighted to offer eight well appointed en-suite bed & breakfast rooms and a pub with two bars, a restaurant and games room with a friendly atmosphere, good food and local ales. With a bounty of local produce on our doorstep our kitchen offers seasonally inspired specials alongside traditional pub meals/favourites. We value our local community, using local suppliers where possible and being part of the annual Frogmore Regatta every summer. We have various evenings of live music and themed evenings throughout the year.

The Dolphin Inn is a beautiful 16th century olde worlde country pub. It is nestled twixt Dartmoor and the coast in the heart of the South Hams near Bigbury on Sea. Featured in the AA Good Pub Guide 2008. The Dolphin Inn serves a selection of home cooked meals using local produce and offers bed and breakfast accommodation in a traditional building opposite the pub. Take a table by the inglenook fireplaces and sample some warm hospitality and a glass of wine or some Real Ale or sit out in the garden before exploring the stunning South Devon Coastline. For instance, there is a circular two and half hour walk from the pub encompassing woodland, the estuary, the coast path and farmland.
