AFC Kirk Hallam
AFC Kirk Hallam is a football club based in Ilkeston and is a member of the Long Eaton Sunday League. The club was originally called Three Horseshoes and was renamed in June 2011 at the second attempt by the new management team.
The club has continued to grow and improve year on year, and following a best ever league finish (5th in division 1), have expanded into two teams. Reserves to enter the Long Eaton Sunday League division 3 in the 2013-14 season. As well as this, the club has a new home at the Stanton Institute.
AFC Kirk Hallam are a family orientated club who like to involved players wives, girlfriends and children at as many events as possible. Every year, at the end of the season, the club plays at Derby County's Pride Park stadium, previously for charity, but this year they hosted a four team tournament.
in August of the last three preseason s, the club have entered a team into the two day Keele International Cup. This , as well as being an opportunity to play a few matches over a weekend, is also a good team building experience that is enjoyed by all who attend.
