The European Pipe Band Championships 2014 will take place in Forres, Moray on Saturday, 28th June, in the beautiful, tree-lined natural amphitheatre of Grant Park. As the highly popular 2013 Championships showed the music and spectacle of thousands of pipers and drummers should not be missed as pipe bands from across Scotland, the UK, Europe and further afield gather to compete in this event, held under the auspices of the Royal Scottish Pipe Band Association (RSPBA). Highland hospitality is well known and Grant Park will once again not only offer world-class sights and sounds but excellent food and drink and other entertainment from Moray and the surrounding area. Forres is one of Scotland’s oldest and most attractive towns, with a rich and long cultural history, and wins regular awards for its floral displays, of which Grant Park forms a centrepiece. So the scene is set for a really memorable and wonderful day; but don’t take our word for it – come and join us at Piping Hot Forres 2014.

Welcome to the Forres Cycling Club, founded in 1938. The club is affiliated to Britisish Cycling and the Scottish Cycling Union and the North Of Scotland Cycling Association. We're a small friendly yet succesful cycling club, based in Forres, Moray, surrounded by the some of the best riding terrain in the country. Although primarily a road racing club the membership consists of a wide variety of abilities and aspirations. We have members that race at international, national and club levels. However most of our members come along for the pleasure of riding in a group. We run a comprehensive training schedule throughout the year, with club runs every weekend and mid-week club time trials throughout the Summer - Ideal for juniors, beginners and improvers. Additionally, club members also mountain bike for a bit of variety.
