My name is Julie Emslie and i own Mini Groovers. I am fullly disclosure checked and Baby and Child First Aid Trained. I am a qualified Pupil Support Assistant and Support for Learning Assistant. I have a Child Protection Certificate and completed Elklan Speech and Language Training. I am PVG checked and have Public Liability Insurance. i am also a volunteer for the National Autistic Society and am a facilitator for the Socialeyes programme. My best qualification I am a very proud mum to Alex 13, Cara 11 and Owen 6 and they are my inspiration for taking this leap into the world of running my own business! I won a Netmums 2012 award for the best pre-school class in the NE Scotland - voted my mummies so i am very proud! The first three songs we sing in class are always the same, each week we use instruments, ribbons, peek-a-boo scarves and various other props to help stimulate and engage the little ones. During class we use a variety of songs including nursery rhymes, action songs, counting songs, tickling songs and marching songs. Also used in class is a giant parachute, sensory balls and various cuddly animals. We use these age accordingly and have lots of fun in the toddlers/pre-school class, whilst the babies are stimulated by the beautiful bright colours. This is a time that with the toddlers/pre-schoolers we use the parchute to work on colours and practise sharing. From an early age they are encouraged to tidy up the instruments, scarves and ribbons - this is rewarded by lots of praise and they love getting a high five! We end each class by cooling down and singing the "Goodbye Song". The classes are fun, relaxed and friendly - it's a great way to meet new friends for you and your wee one's. Family members and friends are always welcome to come along - under one condtion - they join in and have fun! The only thing you need to bring to class is a smile but as a mum myself i know that sometimes that doesn't always happen - i would like to hope that if even if it is an off day they still leave with a smile on their face! I am there to encourage and guide you but the biggest influence in your wee ones lives is you, the more you put in they more they get out I love this quote - Parents have the glorious opportunity of being the most powerful influence, above and beyond any other, on the new lives that bless their homes. ~ L.
