"To promote and provide hockey and other sporting and social activities within the local and wider community" Dunfermline City Hockey Club was formed in April 2010 with the aim of fostering and encouraging the game of hockey inDunfermline. From the humble beginnings in the Glen Tavern we have become a 2-team club who are delighted to play our home games on an artificial surface at Queen Anne High School here in Dunfermline and with the use of the Glen Tavern for our after match hospitality. We currently boast 2 full Scotland over 45s within our membership which ranges from 16 years of age to 60. We are very proud of our friendly and social outlook and to be the premier team located within this fine city. The clubs first eleven is currently in the restructured East League Division 2 following back to back league titles – and aim to continue that momentum by challenging for promotion to Division 1 in the 2012/13 season that lies ahead. The clubs second eleven in now in its second year – this teams aim is to develop younger players while maintaining a strong social aspect. The club also runs a Veterans team – this team competes with other Veterans teams in theEast/Central Scotland- these games are monthly on Monday evenings and are played as friendly matches.
