Fiona Harding is a Chartered Physiotherapist and registered with The Health and Care Professions Council. She is a FitBack & Bumps instructor and runs both the Ante and Post Natal programmes at Toll House Clinic in Chipping Sodbury (www.tollhouseclinicltd.co.uk). FitBack & Bumps comprises Ante and Post Natal Education Exercise Programmes designed by a specialist women’s health physiotherapist. It brings together mums and mums-to-be to share pregnancy experiences and will help you to: • Exercise safely during and after your pregnancy • Reduce the aches and pains often associated with pregnancy • Reduce stress incontinence by strengthening your pelvic floor muscles Improve your posture • Reduce pelvic and back pain by strengthening your core • Flatten your tummy after pregnancy • Make new friends and share your pregnancy experiences The Ante and Post Natal Programmes each consist of 4 one hour sessions, incorporating exercises, stretches and discussions on different topics. These include: • Safe exercising in pregnancy • The pelvic floor muscles • Regaining your core muscles after pregnancy • Physical preparation for labour for a smoother delivery On joining your programme, you will receive a pack containing an education booklet and exercise cards. You will need to have your own gym ball to bring to each class and to use at home or in the gym when doing the exercises. Don’t worry, suitable anti-burst balls are available to buy through the Clinic. Classes are conducted at the Clinic in small groups of up to 3 people. If you wish, Fiona can lead you through your programme on a one to one basis in your own home. Each programme is suitable for groups of up to 8 people: subject to arrangement, Fiona can bring the programmes to your venue. FitBack and Bumps programmes are run by Chartered Physiotherapists. This means that programme costs may be covered by Medical Cash Plans such as Simply Health and Healthsure and certain Private Medical Insurance Policies. Do check your policy for details and ask Fiona for advice.

The Tourist Information Centre is open Monday – Saturday 10am – 5pm. Providing information to local residents and visitors to Chipping Sodbury, Yate and surrounding areas. The information covers all aspects of travel and tourism including places to stay in the local area, details of bus and train times, local entertainment and events as well as leaflets on places of interest to visit within a radius of some 50 miles. Selling tickets for the Beer Festival organised by The Rotary Club of Yate and District, Tickets for Friday 12th July £8, Saturday 13th July £12. Tickets for The Royal Bath & West Show, Wednesday 29th May – Saturday 1st June, are on sale Adults £19, Child £5 and Family tickets (2 adults & 3 children) £48. The Tourist Information Centre also sells souvenirs, books, maps, postcards and photographs of the local area. The office is operated by a part time manager and a team of volunteers.
