Racehorse Rescue Centre (RRC) animal charity is a non profit horse rescue and retraining facility located in Carlisle, Cumbria. We retrain ex-racehorses that have fallen on hard times or become not viable for racing so they can be used for hacking and find new homes for them. We do have some permanent residents, but strive to adopt out as many animals as possible to loving informed homes. We are 100% volunteer run and operate solely on donations from the Trustees of RRC and members of the public. We specialize in the care of racehorses, but will accept animals, when space allows, surrendered by private owners or through animal control facilities in any condition from any location.
