Hive Shrewsbury
The Hive’s venue programme varies from cinema to live theatre, language classes to toddler groups, life drawing sessions to holiday workshops, open mics through to wrestling, plus world-class jazz and folk concerts – something for everyone! The Hive has strengthened its position as one of Shropshire’s premier venues for quality entertainment.
The Hive is very proud of its tradition of working with a variety of partners to help develop arts and cultural programmes and projects across the wider community.
We enjoy excellent relationships with agencies and organisations including the National Trust, Shropshire Council, Severnside Housing and British Red Cross, amongst numerous others. Our continual aim is to forever expand this provision of arts, cultural and educational opportunities on offer throughout the West Midlands.
The Hive works with young people up to the age of 25 – many of whom are vulnerable or at risk. We are appreciative of financial support from national charity Youth Music and other major funders (including Heritage Lottery, Shropshire Council, Telford & Wrekin Council amongst many others) who support our creative programme of activity for young people across the county – whatever their circumstances.
We are a charity passionate and committed to keeping the funding priority for this work at the top of our agenda – we balance our outreach activity with the events programme at the Hive – it makes for an exciting and challenging experience every working day!
You can keep up to date with all the latest news for the Hive via social media and our main website.
We look forward to welcoming you to Shropshire’s hidden gem and hope you will discover just how much is on offer right on your doorstep!
