The Wetmore Whistle was born in December 2005 and was taken over by Ben Brettell in 2008. Since then with the help of Pete (The Music Man)Youngman (RIP) and some amazing local talent and of course the Burtonians and their cousins it has grown into one of the best music venues in the area. Playing all kinds of music from different genres and different eras, whether it is a tribute band, cover band or original artists then we at the Whistle are the front runners in finding the best talent around and letting them rock it out. Also we have a great comedy night run by Magners Comedy Club every month, and we have had some of the greats including Rhod Gilbert, Mark Watson, Sarah Millican and Russell Kane to name but a few.
