Friends of Mossley Park
We are a constituted group of like-minded local people who want to make a difference in their local community by improving their local Park. We currently have over a hundred members.
The group was set up in 2008, with help of Tameside Metropolitan Borough Council through the Mossley and Stalybridge North East District Assembly, who own the park. We aim to promote the use and enjoyment of, and respect for Mossley Park park and to improve it for local people and wildlife.
To achieve our aims we hold great family focussed events like 'Picnic in the Park', 'It's a Knock Out' and family bowling days. We also run monthly gardening parties to help clean up and improve the park which are held for two hours (10am to 12pm, meeting a Mossley Hall, off Stamford Road) on the last Wednesday and Saturday of the month.
We meet on the third Thurday of every month at the Butchers Arms on Stockport Road in Top Mossley at 7pm.
We welcome new members. If you would like to get involved, just turn up to one of our meetings or events.
