The LOGIC Café is an initiative of St John’s Parish Church Moira - it was set up in 2001, to build bridges between the church and the community - offering young people between the ages of 12 – 18 a safe and friendly environment in which to socialise, make friends, experience exciting new challenges and make the most of opportunities that are offered. The LOGIC Café is run by a staff of committed Christian men and women who have a heart for young people. The centre has 2 full size pool tables, X-box 360 – Nintendo Wii – Play Station, TV, Music, a chill out area, games and a tuck shop, there are also a number of trips organized each month for those who attend. The aim of this project is to actively engage with the young people in the Moira area (aged 12 - 18) by giving them an alternative to the norm and allowing them the opportunity to direct their energy and enthusiasm towards something worth while and of meaning. The Logic Café has both a ‘Drop in’ style club and a P7 club (April – June) which give young people the opportunity to meet in an informal atmosphere, make new friends, take part in a variety of activities and residentials as well as providing training in areas such as Personal Health, Personal Development and Leadership Skills. During the summer months it provides an extensive summer programme which includes two Summer Schemes and a residential experience.

We are an enthusiastic group of over 50 like minded people who appreciate and promote the visual arts in our community. The aim of the club is to promote the understanding of the arts and to realise this, we arrange demonstrations from visiting artists, exhibitions and workshops which cover a variety of techniques. We meet in Grange Primary School, Monifieth from 7 pm until 9 pm most Wednesday evenings during school term time.

The Army Cadet Force is the army's voluntary youth organisation. It is sponsored by the Ministry of Defence and provides challenging military, adventurous and community activities for the young people between the ages of 12 - 18. Its aim is to inspire young people to achieve success in life - to push you to the limits. The type of training offered helps foster self - confidence, teamwork and leadership, all of which can be practically applied to every day life. The star awards are a special scheme of training for the cadets. When a new recruit joins the cadets they will start with basic training. Having completed this the cadet will progress through the levels from one star through to master cadet, leading to BTEC award. As part of training cadets will take part in many activities including Fieldcraft, Skill at Arms, Map and Compass, First Aid, Drill and Survival Skills. Each Year the cadets have the opportunity to go to summer camp and many weekends where they can take part in adventurous activities including rock climbing and canoeing plus many more. On camp cadets can also take part in expeditions that can count towards their Duke of Edinburgh's Award. The main thing is to enjoy yourself and have fun.

Stag enterprises team is a small monifieth high school s4 enterprise team which sell drinks at school events,sells folders to pupils which are available, sells biscuits to the staff of monifieth high staff and on Tuesday 19 march we will be selling creme eggs to the pupils and staff at interval in the lower social area. All of stag enterprises profits will go to the charity Help for Heroes.
