Woodlands Children Centre supports families with under 5's in accessing a variety of services including childcare, early education, health and family support.

Our current activities include Groovy Gecko, a club night run by and for learning Disabled adults, Opening Doors - from Hurt to Hope, a domestic abuse awareness art project, LOL a programme of creative workshops for Disabled young people, the Coat Garden an environmental arts project for young people, Campaign! a steering group of Disabled young people working together to campaign creatively for better access, and ART DAZE school holiday activities for disadvantaged young people. We also host alternative to education school placements through which we provide a conducive learning environment for young people who do not thrive in a classroom. Through this scheme young people who are underachieving or at risk of exclusion are able to flourish, build their confidence and discover their talents.

The Save Milverton Action Group is fully in favour of appropriate development for Milverton provided that it is in accord with Policy S5 of the Local Development Plan currently in force [see ‘What the Experts Say’], and that it both meets the needs of the village and respects its character.
