Yes to HS2
The Department for Transport is currently consulting about the proposal to build a High Speed rail line (HS2) from London to Birmingham. The line would run from London Euston to Birmingham Curzon Street with two new interchange stations near Birmingham Airport and Old Oak Common in west London. The latter would be a new interchange station that would allow bring together links to Crossrail, Great Western Main Line, Heathrow Express, West London Line, North London Line and Bakerloo tube and at the same time regenerate one of the most deprived areas in the country, creating an estimated 20,000 new jobs in west London alone, and leading to the potential for up to 10,000 new homes built on the 90 hectare site.
