Llandudno & Colwyn Bay Tramway Society

Registered Charity No: 1075593 The Llandudno & Colwyn Bay Electric Railway ran from 1907 to 1956 from Llandudno to Colwyn Bay, North Wales. The L C B T S was formed to raise funds towards the restoration of a replica Ex-Bornemouth tram. to keep alive the memory of the tramway, to collect memorabilia and artefacts relating to it, and ultimately have a working tram. Membership of the Society is £10 per year and members receive quarterly newsletters about the society, progress on the restoration and events which the Replica tram attends etc. The society also has a website which is regularly updated.

Vintage Furniture Painting Workshop This workshop will teach you how to prepare the furniture including sanding and striping. This will be a 3 hour workshop and in this time you will upcycle a piece of furniture from start to finish. This class will also teach you how to Decoupage pieces of furniture for example tops of tables or fronts or drawers. This workshop comes at a cost of £50 and will include complimentary drinks and cupcakes/scones. Only 3/4 people will attend in order to learn everything needed. Soap Making Workshop These workshops will how to make your own Goats Milk Soap. The method I will be using is a melting and pouring method and will be pouring into shaped molds and wrapping in a style that could be given as a gift or just to present in your own home. The workshop is a 2½ hours long no more than 4 people. Upholstery and Recovering Workshop This workshop will teach you how to recover a piece of furniture for example a footstool or a dining room chair. This will be a 4-5 hour workshop and will include how to strip the old fabric of a piece of furniture and reupholster it from start to finish. For the workshop you will either have to bring along an item that you would like to revamp or a piece can be provided at a small cost. The cost for this class would be £55 and will include complimentary drinks and a light lunch. Only 3/4 people will attend in order to learn everything needed. Comber True Blues was officially formed in Comber on 11th June 2009 by local Rangers supporters. The Clubs official meeting place and sponsor is Rosie Scotts Bar "The Castle" in Comber town Co.Down Northern Ireland. On its first year as an official supports club With Glasgow Rangers, it went to 9 trips/games and won the SPL tittle that season. In 2009/10 Season it had 9 members. In the 2nd season 2010/11 it is growing in number with now 13 members. Anyone interested in joining must be a Rangers supporter, pay monthly dues and be over 18 years of age.
