A warm welcome to Chesham (formerly Tudor) Folk Club!
We meet in a friendly and comfortable setting, with good beer and coffee on tap, to enjoy a rich variety of folk and acoustic music.
Our concert nights have a varied programme mixing contemporary and traditional performers with occasional visitors from the USA and Canada. Once or twice a year we book major artistes. Past guests have included Jez Lowe, John Kirkpatrick and Richard Digence, and in May 2012 we shall be welcoming Phil Beer of "Show of Hands". Advance booking is recommended!
Once or twice a month we have singers' nights that are open to all who wish to sing or play, in a fun and supportive environment. Other than "acoustic" there is no restriction on material, and the floor is open to performers of all levels and ages. And all we ask is that you do the best you can and enjoy yourself! We also run Feature Nights where local guests or young musicians combine 2 x 20 minute sets with a singers' night.
We meet on Monday evenings at the White Hill Centre, which is only 5 minutes from Chesham's town centre and Metropolitan Line station. Our meeting room is on the first floor, but fully wheelchair accessible, via a lift.
Singers' nights cost £2 for club members, £3 for guests. Feature Nights and Guest Nights vary, but are never more than £12 for guests.
