Under the creative direction of Kate Coleman the company designer for 16 Braunton although a relatively new business has positioned itself through vision and experience as a high end, exclusive luxury brand.
When I first got going it was all about headpieces and hats due to a love of millinery through early school years. Although this is predominantly what we are known for I found myself being drawn to jewellery as i love all things sparkly and statement. With this in mind I started by concentrating on what women need to make them feel special in what they wear, whilst keeping a story behind each piece and collection for that vintage feel, this will always be part of our ethos.
Fashion isn't just about wearing a fabulous dress, we wanted to create looks that would not only compliment that perfect dress but make pieces were you get a dress to fit the jewelry and that's exactly what you find at 16 Braunton.
The products appeal to a sophisticated and modern clientele who appreciate unique designs with a touch of quirkiness whilst upholding a classic feel. This is reflected in the innovation that characterises each individual one off piece and continued collections. We combine exclusivity, outstanding quality and attention to detail with the finest materials used in all our products, and love sourcing bits and bobs and piecing them together creating new and magical finds to adorn yourself with.
In January 2011 we started working with swarovski crystal elements and Austrian crystals which was very exciting and part of a well-planned and carefully executed strategy. We felt there was a gap in the market for our style to fill and found that customers always loved a bit of vintage and sparkly crystals but wanted something original. We wanted to transform those forgotten pieces we all have at the back of our closet and make it new. Blend with your closet going from day to night time glam with a sparkly head dress or necklace. So we brought out a collection that mixed all of this together creating another platform to our brand and totally transforming our thought process.
