Emergency food for local people in crisis. The hidden hungry, it could be your neighbour, your friend or even a member of your family. Even families with two working parents, who 12 months ago were ticking over, are now experiencing difficult times. With their savings gone it only takes an unexpected extra demand on their finances to bring them to the point of needing our help. Please help us to help them, Together we can make a difference. In the last financial year (2011 - 12) the Trussell Trust Foodbank Network has fed 128,697 people nationwide. This more than doubles the numbers fed in the previous year. 13 million people live below the poverty line in the UK. Our foodbank provides a minimum of 3 days emergency food and support. We are one of over 200 foodbanks providing emergency food to people in crisis nationwide. Your support helps stop local people going hungry. The Blackpool FC Football Community Trust is an active and vibrant community project that aims to support the development of football and to nurture the passion of the people in Blackpool. The scheme offers many diversionary activities aimed at providing participants with opportunities to come along and enjoy themselves in a fun and friendly environment. The key to the community scheme is participation and setting up player pathways for boys and girls to progress from child to adulthood and retain their interest in the game be it as a player, coach, volunteer or supporter. The programme is not about finding the next player for Blackpool FC but the emphasis is placed on educating young people in sportsmanship, fair play, healthy living, life skills and promoting self esteem
