Community Voice FM

Community Information & Media House, 169 Victoria Road, Middlebrough ,
Hello and welcome to Community Voice FM (CVFM). Many thanks for discovering Middlesbrough’s only Community Radio Station, which aims to serve the whole community of Middlesbrough and the wider Tees Valley region. We broadcast a diverse range of programmes on 104.5 FM (Middlesbrough area) and online via www.cvfm.org.uk, we cater for all tastes and cultures, young and old, black and white, trying to bring communities together through music, sports, culture, discussion and debates by utilising the power of radio. Please don’t be offended if you receive a FB request from us or are asked to join our official Community Voice FM fan page, we are just trying to add you to our loyal fan base. The radio station is predominantly ran by enthusiastic team of volunteers, our youngest presenter is just 15 years old and oldest is 65+. We are always looking for people to add to our pool of volunteers so if you can spare a few hours a week to support a local initiative, we would love to hear from you. Our programme schedule is fairly fluid which means we can experiment with new music and programme formats, so if you have a good idea for a new show then we would love to hear from you (full training offered). Remember this is your platform so if you’re a local Musician, Band, Entertainer, Poet, Comedian or whatever other talents you posses and want the rest of Middlesbrough to know about it then we are here for you. Hope to hear from you soon! Idrees (Director of Programming) Broadcasting live via www.cvfm.org.uk www.cvfm.org.uk
Burst Radio - Bristol University Radio Station

Burst Radio - Bristol University Radio Station

There were early signs this was going to be a massive year for the station when October saw membership levels and show applications hit record highs, with Burst turning away a third of them. These highly sought after shows are broadcast on the station’s redesigned website, which you can see for yourself at www.burstradio.org.uk But this swanky website is no longer the only way to access top quality student radio. Students can tune in via mybristol or on their smart phone. You may also have the dulcet tones of their DJs forced upon you with the station playing out live in buildings all across campus. You can now enjoy Burst as the background to your sandwich in the Union, the Refectory, the Hawthornes and very soon in cafés across the city. Listening to burst is now a more interactive experience than ever before with listeners communicating directly to the studio via email, text, the studio phone line or the popular online shout-out box. Also with over 1,000 facebook fans and 700 twitter followers the conversation can continue even after the headphones are hung up. The Music Team have also made impressive efforts to ensure Burst brings you the best tunes with their fortnightly playlist and exclusive live sessions. But radio stations aren’t just about the music and for the first time Burst Radio has become a genuine news outlet with its hourly news bulletins covering all the big University, Bristol and music news. We've also provided live coverage of big events including varsity sport and the recent UBU elections. Look out for live commentary of Bristol Varsity Rugby this week. The station’s influence also extends beyond the airwaves into Bristol clubs. This year the Burst events team have hosted nights across the city, spreading the good times all the way from stoke bishop to Basement 45 via the Triangle classics of Lounge and Bunker’s Room 2. And the improvements are still coming, last week we launched their listen again service which allows listeners to catch up on all the shows from the last week. We’re excited to see what the next year brings for Bristol’s rapidly growing radio station. Listen Live at http://www.burstradio.org.uk/ We'd love to hear from you! Whether you're a local business, aspiring musician/producer or just want to express your undying love for us, get in touch and email any questions to info@burstradio.org.uk! We're very good with Twitter as well, see for yourselves: @BurstRadio & @BurstNews
