Oxford RL is a new professional team entering RL Championship 1 in the 2013 season. The club has been launched with the vision of bringing the spirit of rugby league to Oxfordshire and the surrounding areas - inspiring local communities, schools, universities and businesses to engage with the Rugby League family. Home games will be played at the historic Iffley Road stadium, next to the track where Sir Roger Bannister broke the 4 minute mile. Oxford RL will bring something different to the city, a team committed to doing the city proud, a club intent on developing new local players and a place for all to see the raw, physical strength and talent the mighty game of Rugby League has to offer. Classes run Monday Tuesday & Thursday 6pm to 8pm and Women’s class Tuesday and Thursday from 8pm to 9pm We have people attend just for fitness and fun. We have amateur boxers as well as professional.

Salford University Boat Club was founded in 1965 by Dave Stocker & Neil McDonald. After numerous moves around the Greater Manchester area the club settled on the Salford Quays, sharing facilities with Agecroft RC. Members, all from the University of Salford, can be regularly seen rowing the water in the Quays, venturing up towards the Lowry Hotel and further afield. The club has a number of male and female members, fielding crews of each gender in a number of races around the country each year. New intakes to the club are usually received in September, although the club is open to new members joining throughout the year, regardless of previous experience. Anyone joining the club can expect to make new friends, maintain or improve their fitness, learn how to row and to enjoy themselves on great socials.
