Kingfisher Twirling & Performance Team

Kingfisher Twirling & Performance Team

Kingfisher Twirling Team started in Clacton-on-sea, Essex, as Clacton Kingfisher Majorettes, but was later changed to just Kingfisher Majorettes and then changed again to Kingfisher twirling team or KTT after we became members of B.B.T.S.A. The team has been running since 2000, and is the only Twirling Team in Clacton. Along side the team in Clacton we also had a team in Boston Lincolnshire which sadly disbanded in 2009 Because we are a twirling team, our main piece of equipment is a baton, although we also use poms, ribbons and maces when appropriate. We also do freestyle in many different styles of dance, consisting of anything from ballet to hip hop. We also cover basic gymnastics and drama. Aswell as competitions we also participate in many carnivals, fetes and private venues including weddings and even a funeral. We are proud members of B.B.T.S.A ( British Baton Twirling Sports Association) which is a world wide association. We attend competitions, training days and a week long camp filled with a mixture of both. We are always on the look out for new members and gladly welcome anyone who would be interested in joining. We have a very friendly troupe who always includes everybody, in everything we do. All adult members are CRB Checked and we also have a strict no bullying policy in place. We are open to both boys and girls from 3+. We also cater for those with a disability. If you are interested in joining please contact us or come along to a training session. MONDAY 5pm - 7pm SATURDAY 10am - 12am

Clevedon Mountain Biking Club

Clevedon Mountain Biking Club

The main reason i thought i would give this a go is due to the amount of people i see out on their bikes on a day to day basis all of which have their own routes and ideas on what can be done locally and yet they have no way of sharing this info with other like minded people . I try and log as many rides as possible on the Garmin connect website and leave them open to the public but obviously not enough people know about them to take advantage of the routes . Although the name suggests this is a club ,that is more the long term goal .i will try and come up with as many ideas and articles as possible to keep this fresh and i would like to get as much info as possible on riders ,local enduros and anything else Mountain bike related happening in the area . Also i have found over the past few years trying to buy and sell any bikes or parts second hand locally to be extremely hard so maybe i will be able to get a page up that anybody can advertise on .
